With an hour to shoot and a lens fogged to the point that I could barely see through it, I figured getting any sort of picture was unlikely. Losing the expectation of making a frame, let alone a good one, allowed me to push the ‘photos on impulse’ theme that had been bouncing around in my head to it’s extreme and in the process set the standard for making images I really love and strive for still.

At least for now, this is the end of my blog being dominated by coverage of the celebrations in Lexington and ensuing riots after UK’s victories in the NCAA tournament but I’d like to take this chance to say thank you to Lexington native and fellow WKU photojournalism student Adam Wolfbrandtt who helped me figure out where to go to find pictures around the city before, during and after things were in chaos.
Adam shot the riots as well and got some amazing frames that you can see on his blog at: http://wolffbrandt.wordpress.com/
Jabin Botsford, Brynn Annderson and Chris Wilson are some other WKU students that shot the riots as well.
